Project: Remixology event series
Remixology salon series
I organised the Remixology salon series in 2010 with the Fresh Media collective to explore new kinds of media-based collaborations in Vancouver. Entitled “Toward Cooperative Media Making: How can professional and citizen journalists collaborate?”, the first salon was moderated by the Vancouver Sun’s Gillian Shaw and featured a talk by maker Kris Krug about his experiences with the BP oil spill. The event sold out and due to its positive reception it became the first of a regular series of bi-monthly Remixology salons.
