Haunted Random Forest

A digital humanities festival for all

I co-curated this festival in 2017 alongside my brilliant Sussex Humanities Lab colleagues Wesley Goatley and Emma Harrison. The Haunted Random Forest Festival was launched in collaboration with the Lighthouse Arts community in Brighton to explore the ways that we understand and critique machine learning systems and algorithms. Its cross-disciplinary programme of free public panels, artworks and tours aimed to broaden access to digital technologies, while promoting a series of discussions about hard-to-discuss subjects. As part of my role as one of the festival's organisers, I created its website using basic paralax effects in collaboration with its other designer Emma.
